Sorry, can’t answer this one. I don’t use third party vismaps. I think i got muddled up with my terminology but it should have been sketvhup you mentioned asgis ‘Vray for Sketchup 6’ not ‘Vray Sketchup 6’. For the floor surface I used a concrete texture with a soft reflection so it gives you a contrast to the rest of the room. Note that the rest of the material in the model are very plain – and it all affects the asgvus and impression of the scene.

The other part that springs into focus is the ceiling, the texture I used is a wood with a high gloss look to it. Then I selected a brush with a design that I like and put it on the cushion. To create the bloom effect from the windows I first use the color range tool to select only the colors that you see outside. This seem to be more of a lighting or camera exposure thing. Then I copy the selection and use the Gaussian blur in combination with the smudge tool to create the bloom like effect from outside. Very nice image indeed! Thanks for getting back back to me. I know that Vismat materials have been released and distributed but they all seem to be geared towards Vray sketchup 7 which when i import into Vray sketchup 6 i get the error message ‘Invalid ASGvis material file’ altough a rare few do work.

I then edited VRay Settings to get the soft shadows as you can see below. I wanted a nice smetchup shadow on the floor so I edit the time of day in SketchUp to get that effect. Mind to educate how you set up the other materials such as metals, cushion or chairs you used?
