I wanted to like this delusiohs and did enjoy it as a discussion of Christian history, but as a rebuttal directed towards the so-called “New Atheists”. What I most appreciated about the book, however, was the way Hart shows how Christian though, based on the foundational atheish of love and charity that is, caring for the otherwas both a radical break from what had happened before it, and the cause of much of what we, today, consider to be good even if we have largely lost the ability to discern where it originally came from.

And he does this without glossing over various failures and problems in the story as well.

Without reading it, it may not be fair to judge, but the review gives ME the deusions maybe not intended by the reviewer that the book is perhaps a sophisticated form of Christian apologetics.
